Making a Difference in

20 Ways in 2020

Impressions Photography is celebrating 20 years in business in 2020 and to commemorate this special milestone we are participating in 20 different philanthropic events to give back to community organizations, charities and those in need.

Hello everyone! Krista here. It seems hard to imagine that back when I was in high school photographing my first wedding that my dream of having my own photography business would not only become a reality, but would be a business that would stand the test of time and would provide photography services for over 20 years. As we approached that 20-year mark I wanted to do something special that would commemorate the year but also honor the community that has supported my business for these 20 years. I decided that 20 service minded actions, both small and large, some in monetary donations others through time investments would be the best way to show my appreciation. I hope everyone will join in, participate, donate and cheer along as we try to accomplish our goal of making a difference in 20 ways in 2020.

We have a full calendar from March to December of 2020 joining two different charitable causes each month to make a difference. We will update that list here every month. Check back to see the events and also find out how you can join the fun and help us make a difference!

June

Porch Portraits for Harry Chapin Food Bank

Did you really do quarantine if you didn't have a porch portrait? There is still time to have one of these oh so 2020 portrait sittings. We have a limited number of porch portraits that we will be offering in exchange for a donation to the Harry Chapin Food Bank in Fort Myers. 100% of the money goes to the charity. The donation is made directly to the organization. The porch portrait sitting will be done right at your home and includes 5 digital images of your pictures. We are suggesting a $50 donation for these photo shoots. Shoots are available in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Sanibel Island. Contact us today for availability and to schedule your families porch portrait!

UPDATE: As of June 3rd we only have 7 appointment times left.

May

Supporting a Classroom

We are providing a classroom with a complete set of the Sunshine State Readers books but we don't want to stop there! For every wedding or portrait that reserves Impressions Photography during the month of May we will donate one more book in hopes of filling a second classroom, making this reading program available to even more students.

While most school libraries have copies of these books, the Sunshine State Readers are often in limited supply. Schools with large outside support will have entire sets in each classroom while other schools may be sharing books among hundreds of students. The books encourage reading and offer students opportunities to compete for reading awards throughout the state. While the program is great for encouraging reading and rewarding students for reading these specific books, it is unfortunate that it is less accessible to some populations of students. Giving more students access to these valuable books will encourage reading while making this program accessible to even more students.

April

20 Trees for Every Wedding

For every wedding that reserves Impressions Photography during the month of April 20 trees will be planted through the organization One Tree Planted. Those trees will be planted right here in Florida and will help to restore forests destroyed by fire and hurricanes. Arbor Day is this month let's work together to make the world a greener place!

BOGO Family Portraits

For every family portrait sitting that is purchased during the month of April a second family portrait sitting will be donated to a Valerie's House family. This local non-profit organization helps children to adapt to living with new caregivers after the loss of a parent. A family portrait will help to bring some normalcy to a very difficult time for these children. Book a sitting this month for anytime in the future and another family will also benefit from the special memories a family portrait makes.
